In 2006 a previously unpublished poem by Robert Frost was discovered in the  Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library at UVA, creating quite a stir in the community.

Many universities have a special collections library, and all are extraordinary treasures in their community (and who knows what you might find within)! On November 7th, at 6pm,  the Teen Writing Center students are invited  in to see selections they have requested from the rare book collection.   One of my favorites is an illumination from the 1400’s.

Here is a link to a map.  Those who would like to walk with us, we will park at the Emmet Street Bookstore parking lot, and meet in front of the bookstore at 5:45 so we can  get to the library by 6pm!  If you know the grounds and building meet us in the foyer at 6pm.  No pens or spiral bound notebooks are allowed in the library.  There will be no. 2 pencils and looseleaf paper available if you want to write any information down.
