When is your work ready to publish?

January 12, 2017 @ 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Dear Readers, Sorry I killed him.
John Green

IMG_0038 (2)Every author you’ve read submitted their work to a publisher at least once! (Yes, even Emily Dickinson!) Are you curious about submitting your writing to journals and contests? Alumn Olivia Vande Woude and Crossroads staff Marie Ungar share their experiences and thoughts on publishing their work while in high school. When do you know your writing is ready to submit? How do you know where to submit your work? What is the submission process like? (What do you do while you’re waiting to hear back?) What does it mean if your writing isn’t accepted? What does it mean if it is? Submitting your writing can be a fun experience, with a little preparation to help you understand what to expect!
