Our weekly writing workshops will resume on Thursday, August 27th. Meetings are on Thursday evenings at the Writerhouse, with one monthly meeting at Millie Joe Coffee House (dates to be announced) and opportunities to for letterpress printing at the Virginia Art of the Book Center.
We have an exciting fall program of activities including visiting authors and fun writing exercises! We start with short and dynamic readings by both contemporary and classical authors in workshops developed by both local and guest writers. You can drop into any meeting, or come to all. Our readings will give you a sample of writing you will never forget, introducing you to beloved authors, old and new.
Follow our annual program and develop a powerful writers journal and skills both useful in writing programs, and in any field requiring description as a component.
Rising senior students can apply for a limited number of mentorships for senior writing portfolios.
