Jacqui Lazo is a poet and creative non-fiction writer who is currently working on a book about sleep (of which she never seems to get enough!). She works as the editor for the Office of Communication & Marketing at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and as a freelance book reviewer. After moving from Pittsburgh to Chicago to Los Angeles, Jacqui is delighted to now call Charlottesville home. Jacqui is lending her experience to help with fundraising, editing and planning.

Jeffrey Levine is the author of two books of poetry: Rumor of Cortez, nominated for a 2006 Los Angeles Times Literary Award in Poetry, and Mortal, Everlasting, which won the 2002 Transcontinental Poetry Prize. His third book, Jubilo, will be published in 2012. His many poetry prizes include the Larry Levis Prize from the Missouri Review, the James Hearst Poetry Prize, the Mississippi Review Poetry Prize, the Ekphrasis Poetry Prize, and the 2007 American Literary Review poetry prize. A graduate of the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers, Levine is founder, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Tupelo Press, an award-winning independent literary press located in the historic Eclipse Mill, North Adams, MA. In addition, he serves on the core faculty of the Colrain Manuscript Conferences. He is now available for manuscript reviews and mentoring.

Elizabeth Derby is a Charlottesville marketing strategist who connects small business owners with their passions and customers. She writes about art and culture for C-VILLE Weekly and encourages you to have more adventures (and tell her about them at DoctorDerby.com). Her professional site is elizabethderbyproductions.com. Elizabeth directed the successful summer youth writing program at Writerhouse, and will provide open hours at Writerhouse for teens two Saturdays a month. Elizabeth is part of the leadership team for the Charter Youth program in the Teen Writing Center.

Raennah Lorne writes fiction, creative nonfiction, and songs, and is revising her first novel. By day she is a part-time catering coordinator and part-time freelance writer, contributing twice a month to C-VILLE Weekly‘s arts column. She lives with her husband Steve, their orange tabby, and Pharaoh Hound mix puppy. Raennah is part of the leadership team for our teen workshops in the Teen Writing Center.

Proal Heartwell, author of A Game of Catch, is the co-founder and co-director of Village School, a middle school for girls in Charlottesville. He is also the author of Goronwy and Me: A Narrative of Two Lives. Proal invited the Tupelo Press Teen Writing Center to manage the high school teen portion of the Virginia Festival of the Book Teen Writing Contest in 2015, a contest which he founded.
